In a significant move to bolster educational ties, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan met his Singaporean counterpart, Chan Chun Sing, in Singapore City. The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration in curriculum development, teacher training, and student mobility, highlighting prospects for shared educational growth.

Pradhan, via social media platform X, expressed satisfaction with the discussions, which also covered potential partnerships in pedagogy and capacity building through institutions like the National Institution of Education Singapore and NCERT. The ministers discussed overseas internship opportunities for students in both Indian and Singaporean enterprises and emphasized academic and research collaborations by connecting schools and universities.

Pradhan has extended an invitation to Minister Chan to visit India for further strengthening of educational interests. His week-long tour includes pivotal visits to Singapore's National University and Australian institutions to foster research collaborations in medical technology, digitalisation, and sustainability fields. The visit anticipates a new era of educational cooperation between the two nations.
