The Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), in collaboration with the Afghan Cultural Association (AKIS), staged a demonstration outside the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna, Austria. The protest aimed to condemn the Pakistani establishment's actions and call for the defense of Pashtun and other oppressed communities' rights in Pakistan.

Carrying banners and placards, demonstrators expressed stern criticism of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and the Pakistani military, accusing them of facilitating the emergence of terrorist groups. Pashtun leaders present at the rally highlighted the PTM's resolve and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa citizens' determination, stating that the Pakistani army must cease its presence in tribal areas immediately.

Participants fervently appealed to the international community to end its silence, urging entities like the United Nations and the European Union to address the injustices endured by Pashtuns and other minorities. The PTM is a grassroots organization focused on advocating for Pashtun rights, addressing issues such as enforced disappearances and military operations affecting civilians.

This protest highlights the growing discontent within the Afghan and Pashtun diaspora concerning their community's treatment in Pakistan. The Vienna protest is part of a broader demand for justice and accountability, urging the international community to notice ongoing human rights violations in Pakistan. At the event's conclusion, protesters submitted a memorandum to the UN office detailing atrocities against Pashtuns and demanded urgent international intervention.

Protesters conveyed an unequivocal message that accountability for human rights violations is crucial for achieving peace and freedom in the region.
