As the conflict in Gaza nears its one-year mark, the World Health Organisation reports devastating human toll, with over 6% of the population killed or injured. At least 10,000 individuals are believed to be trapped beneath the rubble, underscoring the dire situation unfolding in the region.

Adding to the crisis, Medecins Sans Frontieres highlights that recent Israeli evacuation orders issued on October 7 for northern Gaza are precipitating a mass exodus, as tens of thousands flee southward amid escalating airstrikes and a ground offensive. The residents of northern areas like Beit Hanoun, Jabalia, and Beit Lahia have been urgently advised to relocate to an overcrowded area between Al-Mawasi and Deir Al-Balah, where conditions are already severe for nearly one million refugees.

The international medical humanitarian organization has urged Israeli forces to cease the evacuation orders to prevent further forced displacement and to facilitate the immediate entry of critical humanitarian supplies into northern Gaza. The call underscores the pressing need to safeguard civilian lives and ensure their access to necessary aid.
