Students at Apeejay School, Delhi marked Hangeul Day with a lively celebration on Tuesday. The occasion, commemorating the introduction of the Korean alphabet in 1446, saw the participation of distinguished guests, including South Korea's Ambassador to India, Chang Jae-bok. The event highlighted the cultural ties between the two nations.

Hangeul Day, observed on October 9, honors King Sejong's creation of the Korean script. The Ambassador expressed admiration for the students' performances, praising their passion for Korean culture. 'I was touched by the warm welcome and amazed by the enthusiasm for Hangeul,' he said, lauding the cultural engagement.

Underscoring the importance of cultural exchanges, Ambassador Chang commented on the evolving relationship between India and South Korea. Diplomatic ties established in 1973 have matured into a 'Special Strategic Partnership,' with recent celebrations marking 50 years. Collaborations span trade, defense, and culture, reflecting a deepening bilateral friendship.
