Tel Aviv, Israel – In a strategic diplomatic meeting on Thursday, Israel's Foreign Minister held talks with the visiting Romanian Foreign Minister, Luminita Odobescu. Katz extended gratitude to Odobescu for Romania's unwavering support in the aftermath of the October 7 Hamas terror attack and Israel's ongoing efforts to free hostages.

Katz emphasized that Israel's conflict is not isolated but represents a broader war of the Western world against the Iranian axis of evil and its allies. He revealed plans to visit Romania later this month to fortify the already robust relationship between the two nations.

Odobescu described their discussions as 'fruitful,' focusing on the Israel-Romania bilateral partnership and the current situation in the Middle East. They committed to enhancing political contacts and expanding cooperation in various sectors.

During her visit, Odobescu also met with families of Israelis of Romanian descent who are held hostage in Gaza. Expressing deep empathy, she reaffirmed Romania's call for the immediate release of all hostages and promised continued efforts to ensure their safe return.
