A Sessions Court in Islamabad has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in an arms and liquor recovery case, according to ARY News. The case dates back to 2016, when police claimed to have found weapons and liquor in Gandapur's car.

In a recent court hearing, Judge Shaista Khan Kundi denied Gandapur's request to be excused from appearing due to health reasons, resulting in the issuance of the arrest warrant. The judge instructed the SHO of Bhara Kahu police station to arrest Gandapur and present him before the court on September 5.

The court has previously summoned Gandapur and required him to respond to nine specific questions related to the case. Police had reported recovering several weapons, including four Kalashnikovs, ammunition, a tear-gas fire gun, and bulletproof vests from Gandapur's car at a check post in 2016.
