The Balochistan government has issued a 90-day ban on Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leader Manzoor Pashteen, restricting his entry until November 20, the Balochistan Post reported. The decision, issued by the Balochistan Home Department, cites concerns for public peace and security.

Reacting to the ban, PTM leader from Balochistan, Zubair Shah, condemned the move, suggesting it aims to prevent Pashteen from meeting local leaders ahead of the Pashtun National Jirga on October 11. Shah claimed the ban indicates the state's panic over the impending gathering.

The Pashtun National Jirga will address what PTM describes as 77 years of oppression faced by the Pashtun nation. Previously, PTM organized a significant rally in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to protest alleged fake operations and state terrorism. Thousands of participants voiced their demand for an end to such operations and exploitation, emphasizing the need for peace and justice.
