In a heated response to PTI founder Imran Khan's call for an open trial of former ISI chief Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hameed, Information Minister Atta Tarar urged on Wednesday that Khan should instead address his own position in the £190 million case, ARY News reported.
Atta Tarar asserted that Imran Khan had repeatedly interfered in Pakistan Army matters by advocating for an open trial for Faiz Hameed. He emphasized that Khan's controversial statements revealed anxiety and uncertainty. "Instead of defending Faiz Hameed, Khan should clarify his involvement in the £190 million case," Tarar stated.
Furthermore, Tarar labeled Khan's remarks as mentally unstable and inconsistent, especially regarding his fluctuating stance on Faiz Hameed being an asset or a hero. He accused Khan of abandoning his supporters, highlighting that the former Prime Minister's relationship with Faiz Hameed ended upon the latter's retirement.
