Taiwan's Ministry of National Defence reported detecting 25 Chinese military aircraft and 10 naval vessels operating around the country from 6 am Tuesday to 6 am Wednesday. Among these, 20 aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait and entered Taiwan's Air Defence Identification Zones (ADIZ) in various regions.

In a post on X, Taiwan's MND stated, "25 PLA aircraft and 10 PLAN vessels operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. 20 of the aircraft crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's northern, central, SW, and eastern ADIZ. We have monitored the situation and responded accordingly." The recent activity adds to a pattern of frequent military provocations by China near Taiwan in recent months.

Taiwan, governed independently since 1949, is considered by China to be part of its territory, despite Taiwan's separate governance. In addition to Tuesday's activities, Taiwan's MND revealed that 14 Chinese aircraft and 9 naval vessels were detected from Monday to Tuesday, with seven aircraft crossing into Taiwan's ADIZ.
