A woman in Karachi was allegedly murdered by her brothers on Friday due to her wish to marry for the third time, according to Pakistan-based ARY News, citing police reports. The victim had previously lost two husbands and expressed the desire to remarry, leading to a fatal altercation with her brothers.

Residing in Bahadurbad, her brothers killed her after an argument. The woman leaves behind eight children. Police discovered a 30 bore pistol and two shells at the crime scene. Authorities are continuing their investigation, as reported by ARY News.

On the same day, in Gul Town, a woman's legs were severed by her father and uncles after she filed for divorce from an abusive marriage, Geo News reported. The victim, Sobia Batool Shah, stated that her legs were severed as punishment for seeking a divorce from her irresponsible husband.

The barbaric act left Sobia with severe trauma, potentially causing lifelong disability. Her father, Syed Mustafa Shah, and uncles, armed with axes, committed the attack and fled, leaving her in a pool of blood. Police rushed Sobia to a hospital in Nawab Shah.

Sobia revealed that her husband habitually abused her and neglected their two children, forcing her to file for divorce. This action incited her father and uncles to violently confront her. (ANI)
