Lie detection tests began on Saturday for the individuals implicated in the alleged rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, officials reported.
The primary accused, Sanjay Roy, is undergoing the polygraph test in prison, while six others, including former principal Sandip Ghosh and four doctors who were on duty the night of the incident, are being tested at the agency's Kolkata office.
Investigators found fingerprints of two first-year postgraduate trainees inside the seminar hall where the body was discovered. A specialized polygraph team from Delhi's Central Forensic Science Laboratory is conducting the tests.
