With China's aggressive stance growing more pronounced, Mukesh Aghi, President and CEO of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), stated that India and the United States are increasingly aligned in facing this threat. Aghi emphasized that both nations must cooperate to counter Chinese aggression effectively.

Speaking to ANI, Aghi noted that the bilateral relationship between India and the US transcends multiple dimensions, including geopolitical, economic, technological, and societal. He stated, "The relationship is set to grow substantially regardless of the political party in power." He pointed out the necessity for both countries to collaborate, especially as China's influence becomes more assertive.

Aghi highlighted the economic benefits of a growing Indian economy, which offers lucrative market opportunities for US firms. Additionally, he noted that as China continues to harass US companies, some are relocating their supply chains to Vietnam and India. He also underscored the technological sector, where India's tech-savvy population is making US businesses more competitive.

The societal bond was spotlighted by Aghi, who pointed out that the Indian-American community, comprising 1.5% of the US population, contributes 6% to the GDP. He highlighted the significant political engagement of Indian-Americans, citing notable figures like Kamala Harris and Vivek Ramaswamy, as essential pillars driving positive bilateral relations.

Aghi touched on Indo-Pacific cooperation, emphasizing that it serves both US and Indian interests to prevent Chinese dominance in the region. He pointed out that the partnership extends beyond QUAD into I2U2 in the Middle East and IMEC, reflecting a broadening defence collaboration. Joint military exercises, he noted, have further solidified this alliance.

As China's aggressive posture intensifies, Aghi predicted that the India-US partnership would only grow stronger, enhancing cooperation across various domains and confronting global challenges effectively.
