The family of Siddhant Vitthal Patil, who disappeared during a trip to Glacier National Park in Montana, has called on the Indian government for assistance in locating him. Patil, working in San Jose, went missing during his visit to the park.

Pritesh Chaudhari, Patil's maternal uncle in Pune, reported Siddhant's last known location to the Indian consulate in Seattle, which responded by stating he is 'presumed to be dead.' Chaudhari has provided all pertinent information to the embassy.

Chaudhari expressed his sense of helplessness upon receiving the notification that Siddhant is believed to be dead. He disclosed that an NGO worker is aiding him as much as possible and appealed to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to engage with the US government.

Efforts to decrypt text messages on Siddhant's phone have been unsuccessful. Meanwhile, Patil's employers at Cadence Design Systems in San Jose are pushing the US Congress representative for action, though any initiatives must be handled by the Indian consulate.

The Indian embassy indicated that current high water levels are impeding search efforts, with drones being used for scanning. A recent update from the Indian Consulate in Seattle confirmed ongoing communication with Montana's Governor's office and continued search and rescue operations by National Park Rangers.

Reports suggest Siddhant might have slipped into Avalanche Creek, briefly resurfaced, and was subsequently carried away by the current. The search continues.
