Coast Guard and AIIMS Join Forces for Advanced Medical Training

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and AIIMS Delhi have formalized a new partnership to boost medical training for Coast Guard personnel. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two bodies aims to enhance the skills of Coast Guard medical officers, particularly in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
The MoU sets the stage for specialized training based on Indian CPR guidelines, a move designed to better equip Coast Guard personnel with critical, life-saving skills. The agreement was signed by Surg Cmde Sanjay Dutta representing the ICG, alongside Dr. Shailendra Kumar, who serves as the Coordinator for the CRTC at AIIMS.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in medical readiness for the Coast Guard. AIIMS Delhi is set to offer structured and advanced training programs, ensuring medical officers are well-prepared to manage emergencies in challenging maritime environments.
