Delhi LG Approves Extension for Paramedical Staff and Ex-Servicemen

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has approved the extension of service for 767 contractual paramedical staff and 188 ex-servicemen in the Transport Department. The recruitment process for 1055 paramedical posts is ongoing. The Health and Family Welfare Department is directed to notify the vacant posts.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has granted approval for the extension of service for 767 contractual paramedical staff for another year in various hospitals and medical institutions in the national capital, according to Raj Niwas officials.

These contractual employees, who include positions such as assistant (OT), lab assistant, radiographer, and physiotherapist, among others, play critical roles in Delhi Health Services. Additionally, the LG has approved the extension of 188 ex-servicemen working as foot constables in the Transport Department until 31 July 2025.

In line with these approvals, Saxena has instructed the Health and Family Welfare Department to notify the vacant posts being filled by these contractual employees. The recruitment process for 1055 paramedical posts across various categories is currently underway by the DSSSB. In the past two years, about 18,000 posts have been filled regularly, with an additional 20,000 positions in the pipeline.
