A fire broke out at SLN Medical College and Hospital in Odisha's Koraput on Friday, triggering panic among patient parties, police said.

The fire, officials revealed, was caused by a short circuit in the special newborn care unit. Fortunately, no injuries or loss of life occurred during the incident.

Sushant Kumar Sahu, the hospital's superintendent, stated that at least 42 infants admitted to the SNCU were swiftly moved to other wards, and the situation was brought under control.
