A committee has been formed by the District Magistrate to investigate a food poisoning incident involving more than 100 people. They fell ill after consuming items made from buckwheat flour, authorities reported on Thursday.

About 120 individuals from multiple villages within the Farah Police Station jurisdiction required hospitalization after eating 'puris' and 'pakodas' made from the flour on Janmashtami.

Symptoms included vomiting, dizziness, and shivering. On Wednesday, District Magistrate Shailendra Kumar Singh established a three-member committee comprising Additional DM Rajesh Yadav, Additional Commissioner (food security), and the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, to file a report within two weeks.
