Maharashtra's Marketing Minister, Jayakumar Rawal, revealed plans to launch a new Mahamumbai Market Committee to address the shortcomings of the current Mumbai Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC).
Speaking during a review meeting, Rawal acknowledged the inadequate capacity of the existing APMC and emphasized the urgent need for more such committees.
To create a blueprint for the Mahamumbai Market Committee, Rawal intends to examine the structure and operations of the three largest market committees globally, aiming to enhance Maharashtra's agricultural market framework.
