The Delhi BJP has called on Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena to launch an investigation into the death of a child at Kasturba Hospital, allegedly caused by negligence.
BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor claims the fatality occurred on Thursday after a ventilator failure resulted from a power outage at the hospital.
According to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), the infant was placed on a ventilator in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) due to breathing issues after delivery, and the power backup was functioning continuously. Despite this, the child unfortunately passed away after five days on the ventilator.
