Three workers sustained injuries in a factory blast in Himachal Pradesh's Baddi-Barotiwala industrial area. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, became publicly known on Friday when workers protested, decrying the lack of safety equipment.
According to Rajiv, a worker who was injured, the explosion happened during a chemical reaction while preparing a mixture for shaving cream. Sunil Thakur and a trainee were also injured, with Sunil being referred to PGI Chandigarh for treatment.
Following the social media spread of the incident, Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) Federation's General Secretary Harbans Rana visited the site. He later filed a police complaint, citing the workers' allegations of management negligence and lack of basic safety provisions such as gloves. The incident has raised serious concerns about workplace safety standards.
