Boehringer Ingelheim India has announced a strategic distribution partnership with Vvaan Lifesciences Private Limited for its pet parasiticide portfolio. This collaboration is part of Boehringer Ingelheim India's Animal Health Accelerated Growth Plan and aims to expand their reach and enhance customer value in the animal health sector.
India's pet health market is valued at around €115 million. According to Boehringer Ingelheim India's internal estimates, metro and Tier 1 cities contribute approximately 60% of overall revenues, with Tier 2 and smaller cities accounting for the rest. This partnership with Vvaan Lifesciences, a company known for its extensive experience in the animal health industry, seeks to extend the reach of Boehringer Ingelheim India's pet portfolio in Tier 2 cities and meet growing demand in mini metros.
Dr. Vinod Gopal, Country Head-Animal Health at Boehringer Ingelheim India, emphasized the company's commitment to making high-quality medications accessible to all, regardless of location. The partnership aims to bridge the gap in accessing quality healthcare for pets in non-metro and rural areas. Dr. Maneesh Jain, Director & CEO of Vvaan Lifesciences, also highlighted the benefits of the partnership, noting that it would significantly improve the availability and quality of pet healthcare across India.
