The delay has been attributed to the National Capital Civil Service Authority (NCCSA) not meeting since Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's arrest in March.

Amid ongoing criticism from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Lt Governor V K Saxena reviewed the status of vacancies in Delhi's health department, emphasizing the necessity to expedite filling these posts, which have seen prolonged delays.

The shortage of medical staff has been a significant concern, with officials noting unfilled vacancies in government hospitals. The Lt Governor intends to write to the Union Health Minister to accelerate the process, aiming to mitigate the healthcare crisis exacerbated by administrative delays.
