A tragic incident occurred at the Bharat Ratna Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, where a 21-year-old medical student was found dead on Thursday.

Kesar Godara, a final-year MBBS student from Bikaner, Rajasthan, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her hostel room, according to Navratan Kashyap, the station house officer at Lalbag police station. The distressing discovery was made by her friends who raised the alarm after she failed to attend an internal examination and did not respond to repeated knocks on her door.

Authorities stated that no suicide note was located at the scene, and a thorough investigation has been launched. The dean of the medical college, Dr. Renuka Gahine, confirmed the sequence of events leading to the discovery and subsequent police notification.
