BJP MLA Karnail Singh, representing Shakur Basti, called on the Delhi Police Commissioner Wednesday to curb public Namaz, citing traffic woes and public disturbance. Singh highlighted the persistent issue of religious gatherings on roads impacting ambulances and school buses, despite acknowledging the importance of religious freedom.
Singh advocated for religious events to be confined to mosques or private spaces to uphold public order. He urged swift administrative action to mitigate these challenges and ensure religious observances do not disrupt public life.
In parallel, BJP's Minority Morcha initiated the 'Saugat-e-Modi' drive from Delhi, led by National President JP Nadda, aiming to assist 32 lakh underprivileged Muslims before Eid. The campaign seeks to provide festival kits to those in need, working alongside mosques nationwide to bolster community welfare and political rapport for the BJP-NDA. (ANI)
