Interfaith Harmony: Muslim Cleric Supports Navratri Meat Shop Closure

In a move that showcases interfaith harmony, Muslim cleric Chaudhary Ifraheem Husain has voiced support for the closure of meat shops during the Navratri festival, highlighting respect for Hindu sentiments. "Muslims have no objection to this decision as it respects the sentiments of the Hindu community," he stated.
Husain emphasized that every religion has its own beliefs and practices, urging for mutual respect. Speaking to ANI, he noted, "Just as special care is taken for Navratri worship, Muslims too are taught to respect festivals of their Hindu brothers."
Additionally, Husain expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his outreach program benefitting underprivileged Muslims. During Ramzan, PM Modi initiated the distribution of 'Saugat-e-Modi' Eid kits, for which Husain expressed heartfelt appreciation. He praised Modi for addressing both physical and emotional needs of marginalized families during the festive season.
