In a bid to foster cultural exchange and strengthen diplomatic ties, Goa Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai hosted a delegation of 100 youths from five Central Asian countries at the Old Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan. The three-day visit, part of a youth collaboration initiative, aims to create mutual understanding between the young generations of India and Central Asian nations, including Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.

Sports Minister Govind Gaude, alongside other significant figures such as M R M Rao, IAS, Secretary to the Governor, and Manjula Juneja, Under Secretary at the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, participated in the discussions. Governor Pillai emphasized India's rich cultural heritage and its welcoming nature, stating the nation's dedication to regional peace and economic partnerships.

Minister Gaude highlighted the potential of such exchange programs to inspire future collaborations, enhancing cross-cultural understanding and international cooperation in pivotal sectors. He noted the role of art and culture in celebrating human diversity and praised the imagination of youth as a driver of innovation. The event concluded with delegates sharing their experiences and aspirations, followed by a vote of thanks from Manjula Juneja.
