A focused workshop on drone and autonomous systems was recently held at IIT Kanpur in partnership with MP-IDSA. The workshop brought together experts from government, military, and industry to discuss India's current standing in drone technology and strategies to bolster this growing field.
The event, spanning over two days, had 44 notable attendees including representatives from the UP Government, CSIR-NAL, and DRDO. The discussions revolved around infrastructure development, technology integration, and crafting a robust ecosystem to support India's ambition to be a leader in drone technology on the global stage.
Significant insights were shared by various experts highlighting the importance of creating a 24/7 aerial testing ecosystem and developing indigenous technologies. The workshop aimed to build a comprehensive framework to drive innovation and industry collaboration, enhancing India's self-reliance in drone technology.
