On Monday, Y.V Giri, legal representative of Jan Suraj Party Chief Prashant Kishor, strongly criticized alleged police aggression against Kishor and his supporters during a peaceful protest supporting students. According to Giri, the police resorted to physically handling, pushing, and punching the demonstrators without justification, infringing upon Section 21.
Giri described the protest as a 'peaceful Satyagraha' adhering to Gandhian principles and court mandates, disrupted by police who allegedly tried to conceal goals of the Bihar Public Service Commission. Prashant Kishor, present to support students, faced adverse police action and an unjustified arrest. His current whereabouts remain unknown.
Highlighting the alleged misconduct, Y.V Giri demanded Kishor's judicial presentation and intends to challenge the FIR in High Court, asserting no criminal activity occurred. Meanwhile, the Jan Suraj party criticized the Patna police on social media, accusing them of detaining Kishor excessively at a community health center.
