A key announcement from the Union Cabinet includes a one-time subsidy package worth Rs 3,850 crore for fertiliser DAP, aimed at stabilizing costs for farmers amid fluctuating international prices. Furthermore, the Cabinet approved a one-year extension of two crucial crop insurance schemes to provide security against potential crop loss.
Additionally, Shah revealed that a Fund for Innovation and Technology (FIAT), costing Rs 824.77 crore, was sanctioned to drive advancements in agricultural practices. The comprehensive set of measures underscores the government's dedication to maintaining a viable and resilient agricultural sector.
