The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced an unprecedented milestone in 2024, achieving a 100% conviction rate. The agency successfully convicted 68 accused individuals across 25 cases, solidifying its reputation as a formidable force in promoting justice and safeguarding national security. Officials credit this achievement to detailed investigations and strategic legal maneuvers.

Throughout the year, the NIA apprehended 210 suspects in connection to 80 registered cases, with Left Wing Extremism and North East insurgency topping the list. Law enforcement efforts also targeted gangsters, cyber terrorists, and those involved in smuggling fake currency. The agency's diligent work was marked by the charge sheeting of 408 accused individuals.

Efforts to disrupt criminal networks included the attachment of 137 properties valued at Rs 19.57 crore. In a significant crackdown, 69 individuals associated with Left Wing Extremism were arrested. Meanwhile, operations against insurgency in Northeast India and terror plots linked to Khalistan and ISIS saw a total of 101 searches conducted, reflecting NIA's intensified focus on security threats.
