In the closing hours of 2022, renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik revealed a spectacular sand sculpture at Puri Beach, stretching 100 feet long and 45 feet wide. This masterpiece, created with the help of students from his sand art institute, serves as a New Year's message imploring people to 'Go Green' and prioritize environmental action.
Suddarsan, a Padma awardee, drew attention to the rapidly increasing global temperatures, urging the world to plant more trees and adopt sustainable practices. His work, a testament to his dedication, seeks to curtail climate change and promote environmental responsibility among global citizens.
The artist, known for his participation in over 65 international sand art events, also lauded Donald Trump through his craft as the latter prepared for another term as U.S. President. Sudarsan expressed hope for stronger cultural ties between India and the U.S., welcoming Trump to India once again through his art.
