Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has strongly criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his comments on B.R. Ambedkar, calling for an apology. Stalin remarked that only those devoted to the country's well-being mention Ambedkar's name, taking a dig at Shah's recent statement.
Amit Shah's controversial remarks came during a Rajya Sabha address, accusing Congress of overusing Ambedkar's name for political gain. "It's become a fashion to invoke Ambedkar," he alleged, suggesting such repetition would better evoke divine favor.
Reacting sharply, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge demanded Shah's resignation, accusing him of insulting Ambedkar and the Constitution. Kharge, leading a protest, asserted that such comments escalate tensions, igniting a strong backlash from Parliament and sparking adjournments.
