The opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) demanded an apology from Union Home Minister Amit Shah after he allegedly insulted BR Ambedkar in a recent speech. The RJD also called for Shah's removal from the Narendra Modi cabinet, pointing to the Home Minister's language as disrespectful to the revered leader.

Leading the charge, state vice president Shiv Chandra Ram criticized Dalit leaders Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi for their passive response to Shah's comments in Parliament. They demanded these leaders take a stand against the purported criticism of Ambedkar, who is held in high reverence by a significant portion of the Indian populace.

The RJD announced plans for state-wide protests, while the BJP countered the accusations by accusing the RJD of aligning with the Congress, stating the latter has historically shown little respect for Ambedkar. The debate continues as Congress shared snippets of Shah's speech, showcasing the political divide.
