In Uttar Pradesh, Congress leaders, including state chief Ajay Rai and in-charge Avinash Pande, were detained as they attempted to protest at the state assembly during the Winter Session. The party aimed to highlight issues like farmer distress, unemployment, inflation, and lawlessness.
The protest was met with heightened security, with barricades and route diversions in place to prevent Congress workers from reaching their destination, causing major traffic disruptions.
