The Bharatiya Janata Party has relentlessly criticized the ruling Congress government, while Sanjay Awasthi, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, has hit back, accusing the BJP of twisting facts to tarnish the state's image.
Awasthi further alleged corruption and financial mismanagement by the previous government during the 'Jan Manch Programme,' highlighting Rs 16,261 crore spent ineffectively. Speaking to the media in Shimla, Awasthi defended the Congress's track record under CM Sukhu, emphasizing efforts to make Himachal Pradesh self-reliant. He accused the opposition of harming the state's democratic values and praised the lack of corruption allegations against the current government compared to the BJP's tenure.
