Sunkind has announced that it has been awarded a solar energy project of 10.4 MW capacity by the government of Maharashtra. The contract was secured under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY 2.0 scheme) through Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (Mahagenco).
The company's 10.4 MW EPC project is seen as a significant development in Maharashtra's renewable energy sector. Sunkind is tasked with implementing a 10.4 MWp capacity ground-mounted solar PV technology grid interactive distributed agriculture feeder solarisation system at Satmane in Nashik.
Sunkind's CEO and Founder, Hanish Gupta, emphasized the potential of this project to transform agricultural power distribution in Nashik and its importance as a template for future renewable energy projects. Financial specifics of the project were not disclosed by the company.
