In a heart-wrenching incident, an 8-year-old girl lost her life in a road accident in Nashik, Maharashtra, on Thursday. The tragedy unfolded around 1:30 pm on the service road of the Mumbai-Agra highway in Ojhar, authorities reported.

The young victim, identified as Arpita Prakash Shinde, was traveling on a two-wheeler with her mother and sister when a truck laden with LPG cylinders collided with their vehicle. Despite efforts, the child tragically slipped under the rear wheels of the truck and succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Her mother and sister received injuries in the mishap.

Angry onlookers reportedly beat the truck driver before he was handed over to the police. An accidental death case has been registered, with further investigations currently underway, according to police officials.
