Sterlite Power Secures Major Contracts Boosting Green Energy Transmission
Sterlite Power announced securing significant contracts worth approximately Rs 1,200 crore in the September quarter across its Global Products and Services (GPS) unit, focused on sustainable solutions and specialized EPC services. This includes Rs 800 crore in orders for high-performance conductors and Optical Ground Wire (OPGW), with substantial contributions from both domestic and international markets.

Sterlite Power has clinched orders valued at around Rs 1,200 crore for its Global Products and Services (GPS) business during the September quarter, reflecting strong growth in sustainable solutions and specialized Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services.
In particular, the company secured new orders amounting to Rs 800 crore for high-performance conductors and Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) products. Significant domestic deals included supplying conductors for green energy transmission projects, notably Angul-Paradeep, Yalwar, and Runija-Indore transmission lines.
The export market, too, showed favorable developments with Sterlite Power winning orders for advanced green products from the US, the European Union, Africa, and the Middle East. Additionally, it marked a milestone by obtaining India's first order for a 144-fiber count OPGW cable from a state utility.
