In a tragic incident in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, three people died due to gunshot wounds after a violent clash erupted between two groups, officials report. This confrontation, which occurred about 15 days after an initial minor skirmish, resulted in several others getting injured.
Senior Superintendent of Police Surender Lamba provided insight into the incident, stating that the brawl took place in Hoshiarpur's Moranwali Village. The victims sustained severe injuries and succumbed to their wounds before reaching medical assistance, being declared dead upon arrival by medical professionals.
Reports suggest that an individual named Gurpreet Singh allegedly incited the attack by calling individuals from his rehabilitation center to use sharp implements against the victims. Following the attack, police have registered an FIR and have apprehended several suspects, including key figures Gurpreet Singh Gopi and Damanpreet Singh, as investigations continue to develop.
