Efficient Paddy and Millet Procurement Boosts Farmer Confidence in Haryana
The paddy and millet procurement process in Haryana is progressing smoothly with Rs 9,439 crore disbursed to farmers' bank accounts. A significant portion of the crop has been procured at minimum support prices, ensuring financial security and support for the agricultural community in the region.

In a positive development for Haryana's agricultural community, the state has ensured a seamless procurement process for paddy and millet. An official statement declared that Rs 9,439 crore has been disbursed to farmers, directly transferring the amount into bank accounts.
The procurement figures are encouraging, with 46,62,244 tonnes of paddy and 4,38,516 tonnes of millet arriving in various mandis. Of these, 44,59,364 tonnes of paddy and 4,27,364 tonnes of millet were procured at the Minimum Support Price (MSP), providing a safety net for farmers.
The government offers a minimum support price of Rs 2,300 per quintal for regular paddy and Rs 2,320 for grade-A paddy. Continuous lifting of crops from mandis is being ensured, highlighting efficient management and commitment to farmer welfare.
