Flight operations at Bhubaneswar's Biju Patnaik International Airport have resumed after precautionary suspensions due to Cyclone Dana. The airport, which initially halted services from 5 PM October 24, reopened at 8 AM following the cyclone's landfall on Odisha's coast.
Kolkata's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport also restarted operations at 8 AM. Cyclone Dana made its landfall between Bhitarkanika and Dhamra with winds up to 110 kmph, causing severe weather conditions across coastal districts.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, with key officials, monitored the cyclone's impact, which led to the evacuation of approximately 5.84 lakh people. The administration is working to assess and address the damages caused by the cyclone's landfall.
