Apple Inc is receiving a warm welcome in China, as Commerce Minister Wang Wentao conveyed to Tim Cook, the tech giant's CEO, during their Friday meeting, according to the ministry's statement.
Earlier in the week, Cook also engaged with China's Industry and Information Technology Minister in Beijing, signaling a mutual interest in strengthening Sino-U.S. trade relations through steady dialogue between governmental and business entities.
Wang emphasized that China is keen on enhancing the business environment and providing exemplary services to foreign firms while cautioning that excessive focus on national security could obstruct normal economic interactions.
