In a significant legal decision, a Delhi court on Monday acquitted three men accused of organized crime under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA). The court ruled the charges invalid, citing an improperly sanctioned case that failed to meet the necessary conditions for invoking MCOCA.

Additional Sessions Judge Pulastya Pramachala of Karkardooma Court cleared Ishwar, also known as Nareshwar alias Kanchi, Sukhmeet Singh alias Nonu, and Gaurav Sharma alias Golu, of all allegations. The case, originally registered in 2016 at Bhajanpura Police Station, accused the trio of managing an organized crime syndicate through illegal means.

Judge Pramachala noted that without evidence of organized crime, charges under sections 3(2) to 3(5) of MCOCA could not stand. The court emphasized that the prosecution's foundation was flawed, ultimately leading to the acquittal of the accused on October 21.
