At the A.D. Nagar Police Line in Agartala, Police Commemoration Day was solemnly observed to honor the police personnel who have laid down their lives for national integrity. Speaking at the event, Director General of Police (DGP) Amitabh Ranjan highlighted the significance of the day and paid homage to nearly 35,000 officers who sacrificed everything to uphold societal peace since India's independence.

DGP Ranjan underscored the dedication of police officers who face challenges nationwide, from Jammu and Kashmir to Kanyakumari and the Northeast to the Western Coast. He assured the public of the force's unwavering commitment to restoring order and peace, emphasizing their readiness to give their lives for this cause.

The ceremony also saw attendees honoring the continuous bravery of the police force striving to create a secure environment. Chief Secretary JK Sinha expressed heartfelt tributes to the fallen personnel, seeking divine strength for their families and communities. Ranjan reiterated the essential role played by officers, acknowledging their role in achieving societal harmony.
