In a devastating road accident in Rajasthan's Dholpur district, at least 12 people lost their lives after a sleeper bus collided with a tempo on Saturday night, authorities reported.
According to Shiv Lahari Meena, Incharge of Bari Kotwali Police Station, the accident occurred near Sunipur when the bus, en route from Dhaulpur to Jaipur, collided with the tempo. Among the victims were three adult women, the tempo driver, and several children. Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has directed officials to guarantee appropriate medical treatment for the injured.
Expressing his sorrow, Sharma stated, "The news of lives lost in the tragic road accident in Dholpur is extremely distressing. District administration officials have been instructed to ensure timely and adequate medical care for the injured." Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also mourned the incident, emphasizing the need for prayers for the deceased and a speedy recovery for those hurt.
