Himachal CM Unveils Rs 102-Crore Development Initiatives in Kullu

On Saturday, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu spearheaded a major developmental push in Kullu, launching and laying foundations for projects exceeding Rs 102 crore. One of the highlights was the groundbreaking ceremony for a double-lane Bhuntar bridge, set to be constructed at a cost of Rs 4.56 crore.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated a transit accommodation facility with parking and site development for the regional hospital in Kullu at a construction cost of Rs 2.98 crore. Additionally, he opened the new OPD Block Integrated Rehabilitation Center for female addicts in Bhuntar, built for Rs 24 lakh, part of a broader effort to enhance healthcare provisions in the area.

Under the State Disaster Mitigation Fund, Sukhu laid the foundation for multiple flood protection projects in vulnerable zones across Kullu, valued at millions, to safeguard land, properties, and vital infrastructure from future calamities. Furthermore, he initiated water supply and irrigation schemes, totaling over Rs 31 crore, aimed at augmenting resources and supporting local livelihoods.
