The Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Arun Sao, expressed on Saturday that the BJP's iconic lotus symbol is anticipated to bloom again in the upcoming Raipur South assembly bypoll slated for November 23. Historically a BJP stronghold, the seat has been held by Brijmohan Agrawal for the past eight terms.

The bypolls span across 15 states including Assam, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh among others. Arun Sao highlighted to reporters that Agrawal's longstanding representation is a testament to BJP's steady support in Raipur South, and the party is optimistic about securing the seat once more.

Polling is scheduled on November 13 for 47 constituencies except for Uttarakhand and Maharashtra, which will vote on November 20. Uttar Pradesh fields the highest number of by-elections in this round. Results for all constituencies will be announced on November 23, following recent election outcomes in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana.
