Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday laid the foundation for a series of major initiatives in Maharashtra, amassing investments over Rs 7,600 crore. The projects are set to invigorate various sectors, including education and infrastructure. Among the highlights are upgrades to the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur and the construction of a New Integrated Terminal Building at Shirdi Airport.
The Mumbai-based Indian Institute of Skills was inaugurated, targeting the creation of an industry-ready workforce through specialized training in cutting-edge fields such as mechatronics and artificial intelligence. Additionally, the launch of ten new government medical colleges promises to enhance healthcare education and services across the state.
In an effort to modernize educational administration, the Vidya Samiksha Kendra was introduced, aiming to provide comprehensive data access for academic and resource management. These projects spotlight Maharashtra as a hub for development, blending traditional and modern sectors with a focus on economic growth and improved livelihoods.
