IRB Infrastructure announced a 19% annual increase in its toll revenue, totaling Rs 502 crore for September. This marks a significant rise from Rs 421 crore collected during the same month last year, according to a filing with the stock exchange.
Key contributors to this revenue uptick were the IRB MP Expressway in Maharashtra, which accounted for Rs 136.8 crore, and the IRB Ahmedabad Vadodara Super Express Tollway, contributing Rs 58.4 crore. IRB Infrastructure's Deputy CEO, Amitabh Murarka, attributed resilience in revenue to the company's robust operations amidst challenges posed by severe rainfall in several regions.
India's first integrated infrastructure player in the highways sector, IRB continues to be the largest private toll roads and highways developer with an asset base exceeding Rs 80,000 crore spread across 12 states. Looking towards the festive season, the company anticipates further growth spurred by increased travel and economic activities.
