In a significant boost to Maharashtra's infrastructural landscape, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lay the foundation stone for development projects valued at over Rs 7600 crore this Wednesday. This ambitious initiative will be conducted through video conference, as reported by the Prime Minister's Office.

The centerpiece of these projects is the upgrade of Nagpur's Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport with an estimated cost of approximately Rs 7000 crore. The project aims to propel growth across various sectors, including manufacturing, aviation, tourism, logistics, and healthcare, significantly benefiting Nagpur and the broader Vidarbha region.

Further enhancing the state's aviation facilities, PM Modi will also inaugurate the New Integrated Terminal Building at Shirdi Airport, valued over Rs 645 crore. This terminal is expected to offer world-class amenities for religious tourists visiting Shirdi, with its construction theme inspired by the spiritual neem tree of Sai Baba. Additionally, the Prime Minister will operationalize 10 Government Medical Colleges across the state, boosting healthcare education and services.

In a move to foster skill development, the Prime Minister will open the Indian Institute of Skills in Mumbai. This public-private partnership between the Tata Education and Development Trust and the Indian government aims to create an industry-ready workforce through cutting-edge training in fields such as artificial intelligence and robotics.

To further educational reform, the PM will inaugurate the Vidya Samiksha Kendra in Maharashtra. This center is designed to provide critical educational data and support through innovative solutions like live chatbots, helping educators improve teaching resources and enhance learning outcomes.
